Our Green Employer of the week and Green non-Profit of the month is the World Resources Institute (WRI).

WRI is an environmental think tank that goes beyond research to find practical ways to protect the earth and improve people’s lives.

WRI's main research is focused on 5 environmental domains, and it is currently conducting a total of 50 projects:

Climate, Energy and TransportationClimate, Energy and Transportation. WRI’s goal is to protect the global climate system from further harm due to emissions of greenhouse gases and help humanity and the natural world adapt to unavoidable climate change.

Governance and AccessGovernance and Access. WRI’s goal is to empower people and support institutions to foster environmentally sound and socially equitable decision-making.

Markets and EnterpriseMarkets and Enterprise. WRI’s goal is to harness markets and enterprise to expand economic opportunity and protect the environment.

People and EcosystemsPeople and Ecosystems. WRI’s goal is to reverse the rapid degradation of ecosystems and assure their capacity to provide humans with needed goods and services.

Sustainable Cities InitiativesSustainable Cities Initiatives. A global initiative to advance the progress of building environmentally sustainable and livable cities in China, India, and Brazil.
