Solum makes a field-deployable measurement tool that can give farmers immediate results of soil nutrient needs

Mountain View, CA
VC-Funded Company

Solum was founded in 2009 by a team of Stanford physics and engineering graduates to provide faster, better, higher density soil nutrient information: a key component to precision agriculture that allows farmers to increase yields while being the best stewards to their land.

Solum’s first technology is a real-time nitrate measurement tool that allows agronomists to determine soil nitrate levels in the field with lab quality accuracy. Our technology allows growers to obtain unprecedentedly high-resolution soil nutrient information without adding cost to existing soil measurement practices.

Solum is a Khosla Ventures cleantech portfolio company.
