The Green Venture Capital Story Continues with Battery Ventures

Another VC firm was added to The Green Job Bank: Battery Ventures.

Their current clean tech portfolio includes 12 companies, and we've got 10 listed on The Green Job Bank, with all their jobs.

As of today, the 10 companies had a combined total of 44 jobs.

Calxeda, the low-power computer company, is by far hiring the most, with over 26 open positions. SolarBridge comes in second with a meager 7 jobs. Most of the others have a just few jobs openings, or none (SkyFoundry and GreenBytes).

As usual, there's a bit of overlap and co-investing with other venture capital firms, but not as much as most; like Khosla Ventures, Battery invests mostly in early stage companies, which also explains the lower number of open jobs. Here are the Battery Ventures portfolio companies that also took money from others:

Battery Ventures is also well know for one of its managing partners, Hemant Taneja who just helped form the new green trade group Advanced Energy Economy to help advance American competitiveness and economic growth, and who earlier founded and co-chaired the New England Clean Energy Council (NECEC).
