Brightsource Energy

BrightSource Energy has raised more than $300 million to build solar plants providing clean energy to the power grid. They also received $1.3 billion in load guarantees from the US Department of Energy.

And as of August 4, 2010, their application to build their flagship plant has cleared a new hurdle within the complex approval process of the State of California.
